  • Zeg iets over de wereld!

Sometimes I feel like an anachronism...

I like writing letters and postcards, reading books, going for a nice walk, talking for hours, watching the stars, sitting at a bonfire...

Not many people in my surroundings like that...

I love music, it's essential for me... I couldn't survive a day without... Cooking, baking and photography are my most beloved hobbies...

I have tattoos and piercings, often a funny haircut and haircolor...

And... I like manners... What's that sending friendship requests without saying hello? And sometimes I feel like I'm on a marriage agency site...

    Sorry guys... I don't need a man 😂

  • Mijn interesses in andere culturen

I want to open my mind for different ways of living.

I'm very interested in cooking and baking. What are your favorite recipes?

Usually I'm a silent person who is thinking a lot and deep, but I can be funny too.

  • Plaatsen en steden die ik heb bezocht

I never traveled until last year (just family trips)
2018 I was in Ljubljana. Wonderful city, great food & coffee, and we watched the blood moon next to a foggy lake in the woods. Absolutely amazing!

And December 2018 I visited Helsinki and it changed my life!

  • Mijn mening over de menselijke aard

I don't like to think in boxes like this. Life does not consist just of good or bad.

We learn and develop every day. Sometimes we make decisions that have a positive effect on our lives, but sometimes also those that have a negative effect. But we also learn more from the negative decisions. So you can see them as positive.

Is the glass half full or half empty? Anyway, you can fill it up again and again...

  • Waar ik het meest trost op ben

I'm awkward with new people and afraid of crowds and new situations but in my last vacation I went on a concert, alone and even talked a little to strangers. That was a real breakthrough for me!

  • Ik ben een expert in...

I love to make people comfortable so I started to make little surprises with lovely notes for friends in need of a smile.

I am an expert of little happy moments 🙂

  • Een persoonlijke uitdaging

    Suomen kieli... Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!

Oh man... It's a real challenge...

But I will master this challenge!!!

  • Je favoriete boek/schrijver/films

    Tough question... Really tough...

    As a child...

    Book: Brother Grimm's fairy tales
    Song: Bonanza theme
    Movie: Rainbow Brite (series)

    As a teen:

Book: Veronica decides to die - Paolo Coelho
Song: Sweet child of mine - Guns 'n' Roses
    Movie: Beetlejuice - Tim Burton

    As an adult:

Book: All my friends are superheroes - Andrew Kaufman
    Song: Mary - Big Thief
    Movie: The theory of everything

  • Voor één jaar in het buitenland wonen

    I would go to Finland!

    I absolutely adore this country.

The nature, culture, people, language, everything.

I know this is a view through the pink glasses of a foreigner, but I am sure I would be a little happier there. I would even help raking the forest 😉

  • Ik geniet altijd van praten over...

I talk about everything but the topic I'm always interested in is about humans...

Medicine, biology... How we work and why in body and mind.

We are fascinating little wonders 😊

  • De wereld een betere plaats maken

That's a theme to talk about for the rest of my life...

One thing of this endless seeming list is:

    Be nicer!

Help your neighbor with the buying when you see he or she is struggling... Smile at the sad looking person... Ask your colleague if she want's a coffee too... Make a silly face for the crying child...

    Small step - big effect

  • Overschat of onderschat

Overrated: The opinion of other people about how to be or what to achieve. It's much harder to go your own way, but it's worth much more.

Underrated: Self-care ... We tend to care more about other people than ourselves. It's good to be happy with yourself.

  • Genieten van de kindertijd

    Easter with my great-grandmother...

She didn't give money or chocolate as gift, she gave us the biggest oranges I've ever seen. Only she knew where to buy them. Sometimes I think she made a really big effort to get them.

Unfortunately this secret died with her before I could ask her.

  • Ik wou dat mensen meer wisten over...

That opposites are more important than you think ...

The smallest details make the biggest difference.

  • 10 jaar vanaf nu

In a dark, cool starry night
    On a cozy armchair
On the terrace of my house
On a glade of a forest
With a view over a clear lake
Listening to the rustling of leaves
With a big cup of tea in my hands
A warm feeling in my heart
    A smile in my face
And the sparkling reflection of the moon in my eyes

    Pure happiness ♥️
